Responsibilities for the Accounts Assistant Job

This position entails:

  • Maintaining ledger books.
  • Receipting of revenue and banking.
  • Petty cash payments and compiling of statistical records.
  • Safe book keeping of accountable documents.
  • Any other duties as may be assigned by a senior officer.

Qualifications for the Accounts Assistant Job

The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications and competencies:

  • CPA Part II/ ACCA II
  • University of Eldoret is ISO 9001:2008 Certified
  • Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) with a mean grade of at least  D+ (Plus)
  • At least 5 years relevant working experience.
  • Computer literate.

Terms and Conditions of Service

  • Successful candidates for the position will be offered a competitive remuneration package, including house allowance and other benefits in accordance with the Kenya Government public service guidelines,

General Requirements

  • All applicants must meet the following general requirements:
  • Must satisfy Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya
  • Must get clearance from the:
  • Higher Education Loans Board (HELB),
  • Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC),
  • Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA),
  • Credit Reference Bureau (CRB),
  • Commission for University Education (CUE) and
  • Obtain current certificate of good conduct from the National Police Service (NPS).
