EDC Chief of Party, Deputy Chiefs of Party and Private Sector Development Specialist Jobs 2013 opportunity in Nairobi Kenya

 

Education Development Center (EDC) is one of the world’s leading nonprofit research and development firms. Established in 1958, EDC designs, delivers and evaluates innovative programs to address some of the world’s most urgent challenges in education, health, and economic opportunity.
EDC anticipates having a stronger presence in Kenya and is therefore seeking applicants for several management opportunities.
Chief of Party:
  • Hold a doctorate-level degree in education or a related field from an accredited university.
  • At least ten years of experience in managing and implementing education programs.
  • Fifteen years of leadership and management experience is accepted in lieu of the doctorate degree. 
  • Previous experience in implementing national scale-ups of education programs is also highly desired.
  • Demonstrated exemplary management, communication, and interpersonal skills to ensure internal coherence among diverse team members, as well as relations with the GOK,donors and the international community.
Deputy Chief of Party, Programs:
  • S/he shall have an advance degree in education or social sciences (Master’s degree).
  • At least ten years of relevant technical experience in program management, coordination and implementation.
  • S/he shall have demonstrated exemplary management, communication, and interpersonal skills to ensure internal coherence among diverse team members, as well as relations with the government, donors and the international community.
Deputy Chief of Party, Operations:
  • S/he shall have an advanced management or financial degree (Master’s degree).
  • At least ten years of experience operationally managing and implementing projects.
Private Sector Development Specialist:
  • S/he shall have an advanced management or financial degree (Master’s degree).
  • At least ten years of experience developing private sector relationships in conjunction with internationally funded projects.
  • S/he shall have a proven ability to identify high-potential business ideas, demonstrated experience working collaboratively with institutional and private partners and stakeholders in Kenya, and experience implementing activities designed to leverage private investments to support development goals.
