Our client that belongs to a privately held group of companies and deals with Electricals, Steel, Hardware and Telecommunication is in need of a Business Transformation Manager

Strategic Objective

Our client has set a strategic objective of achieving profit leadership in the market in 3 years from 2013, through sustainable and profitable performance.

Position Scope (business process re-engineering)

The Business Transformation Manager shall drive, monitor, support and measure progress on implementation of the strategic goals and the Must Win Battles (MWBs) that have been developed to achieve the above business objective

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Project-manage and champion the implementation of the strategic goals and MWB’s
  • Develop and implement a transparent change management process and structure
  • Work with internal implementation teams to create, prioritize and allocate transformation sub-tasks where required
  • Support the executives in mobilizing for resources critical to implementation
  • Critically evaluate the progress of strategic implementation
  • Monitor implementation creep, and work towards minimization of delays
  • Identify opportunities for further streamlining of the transformation process
  • Report transparently on progress, outcomes and achievements to all levels within the organization
  • Uphold the company’s purpose statement internally
  • Support the implementation of any other policies critical for the achievement of the organizational transformation
  • Ability to project manage complex and multifaceted strategic projects
  • Confidence in handling a large team in multi-faceted departmental structure
  • Ability to understand and translate strategy into action
  • Ability to make tough decisions and take flack in order to achieve results
  • Ability to work independently/self-directed
  • Ability to motivate and  inspire seniors, colleagues and juniors
  • Age – 30+
Qualifications & Experience
  • B.S. or B.A. degree in related or preferred field, (MBA) will be an added advantage
  • Demonstrated management and supervisory skills sufficient to manage staff
  • Experience in working with Management Executives and Boards
  • Experience in rolling out of mid to long-term strategic projects
  • Experience: A minimum of four (4) years’ experience required
